How Is It Possible LOTR Has Better Visual Quality Than Hobbit?

If you watched both series LOTR and Hobbit think again the scenes. You will realize that Lord of the Rings image quality is better than Hobbit series. How Is It Possible LOTR Has Better Visual Quality Than Hobbit?

We investigated that for you.

The first trilogy was shooted while creating visual effects and models, as well as matte tabulation is used, and those images are riched with CGI effects (employees in the sector in general, says this is the best technique). So, the final images are united the model, tabulating and CGI effects in a way. As a result of that, the spaces could be presented in a very large scale. And, that is offered to viewers a more realistic view. Also, thanks to these techniques, camera movement was made with a real camera shots of the models. It would stick to the facts.

The hobbit movie is made with entirely CGI technology; therefore, there are no restriction for Peter Jackson. He began to pull away from reality scenes. Remember, for example, dwarfs fleeing in the barrels and Legolas movements in the river.

Legolas and Tauriel have a lot of scenes with full of CGI effectsNow, you can claim that in the lord of the rings Legolas was making such moves. Yes, but the movements were really done with few exceptions they are not only CGI effects.

The second reason is to shoot the film digitally 48 fps and 4k. If you are shooting high fps and high resolution like Hobbit the makeups and the models seem clearly. So, we can understand everything that the models and makeup details, etc.. Unfortunately the film does not give the reality sense ( during wathing LOTR we did not watch so clearly as Hobbit.). Furhermore, another technical reason is used color palette. The color palette used throughout almost the entire film is mostly green and yellow shades. This showed the dwarves unfortunately like plastic toys, and it showed the most of the actual scene as a CGI product. In Hobbit they built some of the movie scenes and used models also. For example, Dale  is the one of the biggest model used in the film. But, The fall of Erebor scene at the beginning of the first film is seen like that:

Also, dropped off makeup and the use of  CGI Orcs is another major factor that impede the realism of the film. Let’s have a look Lurtz in LOTR (you know it who killed Boromir):

And this is Azog in Hobbit (Thor’s troublesome). You will decide which is better!?

The last reason is 3D shooting drawbacks. The filmmakers use a technique called ‘forced perspective’. In 3D it is imposibble to use this technique. For example, in the first film at the beginning of the  Fellowship of The Ring Frodo meets Gandalf to Shire. This scene is made with this technique.
